Stop leaning back when they come in for a kiss. A simple daily food topper for fresher breath and cleaner teeth.

The Daily Reality

Brushing Your Dog’s Teeth Sounds Easy. Until You Actually Try It.

Ash

Ash’s opinion: “I am very brave. Unless you are holding a toothbrush.”

The guilt

You’re not a bad dog mum. Brushing their teeth is just harder than people make out.

The toothbrush battle

They pull away. They wriggle. They clamp their mouth shut. You feel awful. They feel suspicious. And the dog toothbrush ends up back in the bathroom drawer next to the half-used toothpaste.

Then life happens

Somewhere between work, dinner, washing and everything else, brushing becomes another daily chore you have to fight through. So you miss a night. Then another. Then the routine quietly disappears.

The cuddle retreat

Then you notice their breath is getting worse. Their teeth look a little more yellow. Those close-up cuddles become a quick pat on the head instead.

Why Seaweed Is Used in Daily Dog Dental Care

Ascophyllum nodosum has been studied in dogs for its effect on plaque, calculus and breath-related compounds. Here’s what the research found.

Helps slow new plaque and calculus build-up.

In a 90-day randomized, placebo-controlled study, dogs receiving Ascophyllum nodosum had significantly less plaque by Day 90 and less calculus at every measured time point.

Study: Gawor et al., Frontiers in Veterinary Science, 2018.

46% lower breath-related sulphur compounds.

At Day 90, volatile sulphur compounds were 46% lower in the Ascophyllum group than placebo.

Study: Gawor et al., 2018.

The science appears to involve changes in saliva.

A separate 30-day study found clear changes in the saliva metabolome of dogs given Ascophyllum nodosum. Researchers say the exact mechanism is still being investigated.

Our Story

Created for the Dogs Who Run the House.

Tylas Pet Care was created for the people who buy the better food, move over in bed, take too many photos, and know exactly what their dog’s different barks mean.

Plaque-Less was inspired by Ash and one very ordinary problem: wanting to care for your dog’s teeth and breath without making every day harder for them—or for you.

We are not here to tell you a powder replaces a vet.

We are here to give you a simple, responsible daily habit that fits around the life you already share with your dog.

Australian owned

Tylas Pet Care is an Australian-owned pet-care brand created for real dog homes and real daily routines.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Plaque-Less replace brushing?

No. Plaque-Less is designed to support everyday oral hygiene as an easy daily food topper. Brushing and regular veterinary dental care remain valuable parts of looking after your dog's mouth.

Will Plaque-Less remove hard tartar already on my dog's teeth?

No. Established hard tartar needs professional veterinary advice and treatment. Plaque-Less is for everyday oral-hygiene support, not removing existing hard tartar.

How do I give it to my dog?

Add the recommended amount to their food once daily. Follow the instructions on your pack and use the dosage guide for your dog's size.

What if my dog has sore gums, bleeding, loose teeth or trouble eating?

Please speak with your vet. Those signs need proper veterinary attention rather than an at-home dental product.

Is Plaque-Less made in Australia?

Tylas Pet Care is Australian owned.
